Journeyman and crew returning from Hawaii 2017

This is a three-day Advanced Coastal Cruising Course. We will be sailing out of Friday Harbor in the San Juans to the Pacific Ocean and back. This is non stop sailing, cooking, navigation and traffic management. There will be spinnaker handling and most likely (hopefully) waves for surfing back down the Straits of Juan De Fuca. We will also cover night crew overboard recovery.

Instructors: Captain Rhys Balmer and Erden Eruc will be supervising all watches. Both captains are ASA Instructors and have thousands of sea miles.

Cost: Crew members will be taught ASA 106 “Advanced Coastal Cruising. The cost for the course is $1000 (Course and Captains details on his website https://www.griffinbayadventures.com/the-crew/).

Vessel: Journeyman is a Cal 40 and is a fully offshore capable boat.  It comes equipped with AIS, life raft, etc. More information about the boat is posted on the application link below.
