Wauquiez 43 Amphitrite (ketch)

Join us as we sail this beautiful 43 foot Wauquiez Amphitrite ketch from San Diego to Seattle this November. Actual departure date TBD based on crew availability and weather window. The passage is expected to take two weeks and may be broken into two or three legs. Send in your sailing CV today to see if can join the crew. Crew only need to pay their airfare and come with their own personal safety equipment. Griffin Bay alumni get first call on trips like this but if there is space available spots are open to the public.

New electronics - B&G 7” chart plotter, compass, all new NMEA 2000 wiring.
New radar - B&G 3G
New auto pilot - currently an octopus hydraulic ram with B&G pilot
New AIS - Vesper 8000
New WiFi - nearly all NMEA over WiFi available via the Vesper
New epirb
New depth/speed/temperature, with a backup fish finder shooting through he hull.
New dodger and Bimini
New ground tackle, with spare anchors (2), chain and rode
New diesel forced air furnace
New 600 watts of solar and two controllers
Re-certified six person life raft, good through 2019
Main and Mizzen in great shape, genoa in good shape. Two reefs in the main, one in the Mizzen.
Nearly new 100% and 65% jibs
New jib and spin halyards. Main and Mizzen halyards in good shape, sheets in good shape. Dedicated sheets for all three jibs.
Engine runs well. The last time I ran it was Aug 2018, started right up, no smoke, no issues. There is no low pressure or temperature audible alarms, but the gauges work.
Bottom was ground down and epoxy coated - blisters are gone (for now).
Last haul-out was Aug 2018.
